I was never a dog person until we got Millie and Nelson. I truly think that Nelson appreciated us for rescuing him and giving him a good life. He was such a sweet and patient dog. He would let the kids pull his whiskers out, go for rides on him and never even budge or get mad. He was the only Golden Retriever we know that couldn't retrieve or swim. He was in one word, GOOFY. It's been hard to let him go but, I know that he is no longer in pain and in the words of Lance, "maybe in doggy heaven Nelson will have good breath and a full buffet at all times." We love you Nelson, thanks for being the best dog in the world!!!!!!! Rest in Peace my friend.

I was so sad to read this post today. I always loved that dog. Even when he had a bloated belly full of all your bread and rolls...stinker!!!
